We will ensure that your building meets with Australian Standards and the Building Code of Australia. Issues that affect compliance with the relevant standards are as follows:

§         Prevent hose reels reaching all parts of the floor

§         Obstruct access to fire fighting equipment

§         Require alterations to fire detection or sprinkler systems to ensure all detectors and sprinkler nozzles are adequately positioned to suit the new partition layout.

§         Necessitate the relocation of existing fire extinguishers or the installation of new fire extinguishers.

§         Create isolated areas where the occupant warning system may not be heard.

§         Alter existing egress paths, thereby causing extended travel distances to exits and / or necessitating relocation of emergency evacuation lighting.

• Repositioning of internal furnishings and fixtures may:

§         Obstruct access to fire fighting equipment

• Alterations to storage arrangements or the type of storage may:

§         Prevent hose reels reaching all parts of the floor

§         Obstruct access to fire fighting equipment

§         Obstruct sprinkler coverage

§         Necessitate alterations to the sprinkler system design and or water supplies to ensure the products stored are adequately protected.
